When I was a boy, my favorite time of day at school was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I went to college to study at The Art Students League of New York and The American Academy of Art in Chicago. After college I moved to Los Angeles and began a 32 year career in the Animation In
When I was a boy, my favorite time of day at school was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I went to college to study at The Art Students League of New York and The American Academy of Art in Chicago. After college I moved to Los Angeles and began a 32 year career in the Animation Industry. I painted on such films as Beauty And The Beast for Disney and Kung Fu Panda for Dreamworks among other Oscar nominated films.

Although I've been trained in several mediums, I believe that working in pastels and digital paint are the keys to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

I enjoy taking my own reference pictures, using my imagination and working from live models to create images. I’m inspired mostly by nature and its ability to create a story as well as using color to illustrate this.
